When attempting to pursue education internationally or step into overseas work, at Atlanta Apostille, we would love to help you grow your skill set.
When acquiring apostille services on your GED Diploma or Transcripts, know that there are two main steps:
- Contact your school’s registrar and acquire a signature and notary for either the original or a colored copy. You may have to mail in your original or e-mail a color copy to the school. Not sure where the original is? Don’t worry! Some schools will allow you to purchase a new diploma when attempting to acquire an apostilled degree. If the school doesn’t have a notary on staff, you can contact a traveling notary who can visit the school and assist appropriately with the registrar. However, most notaries are not aware of all the details required for authenticating and certifying diplomas or transcripts for the specific needs and requirements of each and every country- so make sure to contact Atlanta Apostille for the apostilling process in order to ensure the best chance of success in your overseas process.
- When you receive your diploma or transcript, double check that the paperwork has been signed and notarized. Some will place this on the back, if there isn’t enough room on the front, and others might attach an affidavit that is signed and notarized to the document. Just remember to verify that an original signature and printed name of the school’s registrar is on the document, and includes the notary’s name, signature, date, wording, and stamp.
